A new event has been added to the wide range of tourist attractions offered by the destinations of the beautiful state of Quintana Roo, México.

This is the Caribbean Gastronomy Festival, whose first edition will be held on June 24 and 25 in the colorful destination of Puerto Juárez in the city of Cancún.

Now, in addition to enjoying the Mexican Caribbean’s pristine beaches, attractions and entertainment, visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about the culinary richness of our paradise.

This event will bring together local producers, restaurateurs and chefs, who will showcase the variety and richness of local products, including pineapple, mango, pitahaya and aquaculture species.

The festival will be an itinerant event, as it will be held in Quintana Roo’s 12 tourist destinations. It will also be an excellent showcase to present traditional dishes from Quintana Roo, as well as contemporary delicacies made with local products. Participants will be hotel chefs and will be supported by research from universities, such as Universidad del Caribe (Caribbean University).

Andrés Aguilar, Undersecretary of Tourism, explained that this gastronomy festival will help diversify the activities at the destination.
