Cancún will host the 20th Global Tourism Summit

Another sign that the Mexican Caribbean is recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic is that Cancún, one of its most important vacation destinations, will host the 20th edition of the Global Tourism Summit of the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), which is considered the most important event in the tourism industry.

This event would normally be held during the month of March, but the decision was made to move it to April so that more participants will have the opportunity to attend.

The event was organized by the government of the state of Quintana Roo and is an important opportunity to show the world the excellent work that Cancún and Mexico have done implementing new health protocols. It is also a way to publicize what they have to offer as a safe destination.

The World Summit will bring together leaders from the public and private tourism sectors, CEOs and executives from important companies, and government leaders, who will address important issues, such as how to adapt to COVID-19, restore millions of jobs and revive the tourism sector.

The event will take place in person and virtually, which will allow those who cannot travel to be part of this important event.
