More of Sunset World’s 30th Anniversary

Sunset World’s 30th anniversary celebration continues, and we want to continue sharing those moments that contributed to the success of this Mexican family business that provides memorable vacation experiences in the Mexican Caribbean.

This publication goes back to 2011 when Sunset World first celebrated its iconic Boat Parade, which became a beautiful Christmas tradition for locals and tourists enjoying their Christmas vacation in Cancun. Up to 30 decorated boats have been part of the Boat Parade, which set sail from Sunset Admiral Yacht Club & Marina located inside Sunset Marina hotel, to take a tour along Nichupte Lagoon at sunset, which offers a beautiful show perfect to be enjoyed with the whole family.

The following year, in 2012, as a sign of Sunset World’s values and commitment to the community, the environment and tourism, it launched Ethos (Greek for “starting point”), a farm in the Mayan jungle where fruits and vegetables are grown organically and with non-polluting alternative energy, to supply Sunset World hotels with fresh produce, as well as exotic ornamental plants that are used to decorate the hotels’ lobbies, restaurants and meeting rooms. At the same time, the launching of Ethos generated sources of employment, which represented an important benefit for Mayan communities…

These events are an important part of Sunset World’s history. They contribute to consolidate the experience they currently offer and have set the tone to continue innovating and providing guests and members with more than only vacations in the Mexican Caribbean.
