Construction of the Nichupté Bridge in Cancún is 77.8% complete, despite some technical and environmental challenges. The bridge will connect the hotel zone with Luis Donaldo Colosio Boulevard. It will be 11.2 kilometers long and will feature bicycle lanes and pedestrian walkways.
Nichupté Bridge Details:
Length:11.2 kilometers.
Location: It will connect Kukulcán Boulevard at kilometer 13 with Colosio Boulevard and Tulum, Kabah, and Bonampak Avenues.
Components: 8.8 km main bridge, 103-meter steel arch, two access interchanges (2.4 km), bicycle lane, pedestrian walkways, bus stops, and a lighting system.
Benefits: Reduced travel times, improved mobility, boost to urban and tourism development, and job creation.
