Sunset Royal – A Great Place to Unwind and Relax.

We returned to the Sunset Royal (SR) this past December for 2 weeks again in 2025, but time goes by so fast that our stay never feels long enough. As in the past, it is wonderful to catch up with familiar staff members and to meet new Staff as well. We are always happy and relieved to see that Carlos, the Acuario Restaurant Manager, is still at SR. Thankfully, he remains a constant at SR! Carlos immediately recognized us & welcomed us back home our first night back. He continues to amaze us, remembering our names and sharing wonderful stories and pictures of his growing Family! He is a Very Proud Grandpa! We were fortunate to receive a Master Suite on the 8th floor as Loyal, Long-Standing Members at SR. New to us was the Butler Service and we had 3 Amazing Butlers who took exceptional care of us. Sarah Diaz was our main Contact Person and she was beyond AMAZING! Always greeting us with her genuinely warm smile and her bright and energetic personality, she was always checking on us to ensure we had everything we needed. She would go above and beyond on a regular basis to meet our needs! When she saw my disappointment about the Beverage Room Service no longer offering sugar free seltzers, she even went grocery shopping on her own time to find Diet Sprite and a variety of Seltzers for us since Diet Coke is the only sugar free option available at the SR. Butlers Lupita and Rafael also always greeted us by our names with a warm smile, and was always eager to help in any way. We also loved the newly incorporated ability to text the Butlers by WhatsApp, which made communications very fast and efficient!


Javier continues to be in charge of the Front Lobby and ensured our rides arrived on time and that all our bags are taken care of. Luis B, the Entertainment Director, was a new face amongst the SR Staff Family, who would greet us by name with a friendly smile and positive energy. Luis was very active and involved with the members, always checking how he could make our stay more enjoyable and inviting suggestions for improvement. We would always see him energetically walking around the pool, informing us of activities we might enjoy then later see him in the gym to make sure there were enough towels. He took the time to make sure any needs/preferences were met regarding our Yoga classes, making sure we had a cool and comfortable environment, turning on fans in the theatre on a humid day, and was flexible and even allowed us to hold yoga class out on the old Palapa area overlooking the ocean, moving the sun umbrellas, making sure we had enough shade, etc. Luis does a GREAT JOB and is one of the most conscientious and involved Activities Director I’ve come across in my many years at SR and decades of vacation travel overall.


In the Capriccio Restaurant, please request to sit in Alan’s section. He is very professional, attentive and his quality of service is exceptional.

Remarkable Vacation at Sunset Royal Beach Resort

Our stay at Sunset Royal Resort was wonderful. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and varied, with options like Mexican, Italian and Mediterranian. The service at the restaurants and bars was above average. The pool and common areas are perfect for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the resort along with the daily activities.

It is an ideal place to relax, rest, disconnect, and enjoy every moment. We highly recommend Sunset Royal Resort and hope to return very soon. We particularly enjoyed Sarah & Lupita as our buttlers. They made us feel at home. Now, special thanks to Jorge and Isaias at the pool and beach areas. They made us feel welcome, taken care of, at home. We already miss them. They were more than waiters, they became our friends, and we truly appreciate them. We spent 14 days with them, and we loved every minute of it. We love you both.

We also appreciate Karen attentions and going beyond her responsibilities. Sarah had a very sweet detail. You can see it in the pics, the heart and flowers petals, amazing. Thanks, Sarah for such a wonderful gesture. Management were great. When we had any issues, they were quick to resolve them. The live music and shows were fantastic. The show at the theater were very professional, high level! The views from the room are amazing. The sunset, sunrise, and pool pics are from the room.

Had a great week at Sunset Royal. All the staff was amazing, but Sarah, one of our butlers, went above and beyond! The chef did a great job with Thanksgiving dinner! Turkey was delicious!!!

Another Great Vacation at Sunset Marina Resort & Yacht Club
I just enjoyed another great vacation at this beautiful resort. My hotel room was comfortable and had everything I needed. The food and service were excellent and I enjoyed the nightly entertainment that was provided. I definitely look forward to vacationing there again in the near future.

The Return to Hacienda Tres Rios Years in the Making
My family and i had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Hotel Hcienda Tres Rios. Family time was great and enjoyed all the daily activities poolside and the late evening activities in the sports bar where there was singing and dancing entertainment to be had after dinner. Swimming pool facilities was great. The enviroment was very relaxing and pleasurable, and the rooms were astonishing and comfortable. Service was excellent and facilities and amenities were in top order. Hotel renovation works and future plans are just amaizing and worth the effort made to come to Cancun.

Don’t snooze of this nature-focused resort that has it all!
Don’t miss out on this resort and its people! Beautiful accommodations, nice food/drink options, and a staff that is 2nd to none. Plenty of pool space, but also a plethora of natural space and surroundings to make you feel more in a nature park versus just a “concrete jungle”. Lots of included excursions throughout the adjacent nature park and a seriously fun entertainment staff that

Always a great experience!
Every time we come back we are reminded why we love it so much! Great accommodations, wonderful food and drink, and absolutely amazing staff! Rodolfo at the front desk, Jose Luis the bellboy, Mexico and Hector at the lobby bar, Lluvia at the pool bar, Ada and Mary in La Vela, Gonzalo for breakfast in la Pergola, and Dafne and Daniela for entertainment team… They are all THE BEST! Everybody works so hard and takes such good care of us. We will always return to Sunset Marina. We love it so much!

Vacation, one for the memories
The stay was awesome, the rooms smelled great. Our room cleaner was awesome. She made our stay great. We don’t have to worry whenever we finish the day. The rooms were almost in clean condition. We just have to lie down, rest, recharge and do it again the next day. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner did not let us down. Dinner was always my favorite. My kids favorite was the pool. We were there every morning before heading out for excursions and tours. Would love to come back, hopefully soon.
