After a long wait, Sunset World experiences a historic moment when it reopens its doors to welcome its first guests back to the beautiful beaches of Cancún and the Riviera Maya.

With an atmosphere of joy and enthusiasm and mariachi music, dancers with colorful costumes and excited staff, Sunset Royal in Cancún and Hacienda Tres Ríos in the Riviera Maya welcomed guests and restarted economic activity in the beautiful state of Quintana Roo.

After exiting their transportation in the motor lobby, the guests were greeted with applause. Moved by the warm welcome, they cut the ribbon at the lobby doors, entered the sanitation tunnel and once inside, sipped on a welcome cocktail and signed the book of distinguished visitors.

Next, the new digital check-in procedure was explained to them, which in addition to streamlining the process, aims to avoid crowding in the reception area. They were also given a kit containing a face mask, gloves and sanitizing gel.

It is important to mention that these events were carried out following the cleaning and sanitizing of all spaces according to the protocols recommended by health authorities. Social distancing assured the proper distance between each person.

The managers of both hotels commented on the importance of this event for the destination. “It is exciting to see that our first guests were moved by this warm welcome,” said the General Manager of Hacienda Tres Ríos.

“For destinations like Cancún and the Riviera Maya, welcoming the first visitors to our new reality is definitely a source of joy and Sunset World Group is celebrating,” shared the General Manager of Sunset Royal.
