With the goal of uniting Cancun families and offering an activity for foreign visitors during the holiday season, last weekend Grupo Sunset World held the Sunset Boat Parade for the seventh time on Nichupté Lagoon, a natural landmark in the most famous tourism destination in Mexico.

Members of Grupo Sunset World, guests and press, gathered at 5 pm last Sunday at Sunset Admiral Yacht Club & Marina, km 5.8 Boulevard Kukulcán. The boats, decorated with lights, departed at 6pm and made their way through the lagoon and Siegfried Canal, just in time to witness the sunset.

After the tour of the lagoon, the attendees returned to Sunset Admiral Yacht Club & Marina, where there was a traditional Mexican performace, which included dances from Veracruz, Yucatán, Tabasco and Jalisco.

The Sunset Boat Parade closed festively with traditional Mariachi music and fireworks that lit up the sky in the paradisiacal Mexican destination.

Members, guests and the general public enjoyed a memorable Sunday, which also had a giving focus: all attendees could donate toys for the children of Fundación Aitana, which serves children with cancer in Cancun. The more than 200 toys that were collected will be delivered on Three Kings Day.
